The Shimon was created to protect and be Vongola's closest ally. For awhile, they were well-known and popular int he mafia world until Vongola Primo's Mist guardian, Daemon Spade, tried to have them killed. This attempt failed; however, Giotto and Cozart faked their fall and the Shimon melted into the shadows to protect and be their allies from the darkness. In the tenth generation of Vongola, the Shimon thought that they were enemies and thus tried to take out the Vongola themselves. They very nearly succeeded in this endeavor. A battle that the Vindice judged over the resolve of the Vongola tenth generation and of the Shimon tenth generation took place. The losers of each battle were placed in Vendicare prison as per part of the agreement. However, when Daemon Spade made an appearance using the Flame of Night to try to take out the /soft/ tenth generation and the Shimon, the Vindice ended their battle and made a deal with Tsunayoshi and Enma Shimon. The end of this battle restarted a life-long friendship that is still honored to this day. The Shimon are one of the Vongola's closest allies. ___________ Neo Shimon Nobody's sure exactly when it happened but Shimon's inheritance was supplanted. The true heirs to the Earth flames were scattered, not knowing about their blood-right. The current head of Shimon, Saverio Kozato, is a traitor to the mafia. He works with the Annularre and has had his former guardians assassinated, replaced with imposters using technology to mimic flames. He's intentionally trying to sow as much discord as possible within the Vongola and only has one loose end remaining, his younger brother Jio. Jio Kozato fled from Italy when he realized his brothers treachery and is now hiding in Japan. His goal is to reveal Saverio to the mafia but this is made harder by his brother managing to have Jio himself declared a traitor, claiming he broke Omerta. The Shimon have been a main-stream family for years now as a steadfast and loyal ally to the Vongola family.This loyalty to them has lead them to remain neutral in the Giorno and Notte conflict and have sided with the Varia and will aid them in judging the Ring battles as well as testing the winners. Or at least this had been the general idea as none are aware of the internal battles this famiglia has. While they try to act natural, each of the Guardians of the Shimon family is not quite what they appear to be.

» Shimon Guardian usually stay within the family; though the current Guardians are actually Annularre with rings that produce artificial Earth Flames. If taking in a stand-in Shimon Guardian you may write them as a Mafiosos just remember where they really come from, and what they really are. Only the current Boss of the Shimon can naturally generate Earth Flames.

» The actual Shimon blood heirs have been scattered around Japan. usually they would be picked up, and made aware of their inheritance after the death of the previous Guardian. Currently the true heirs do not know of their inheritance, or who they really are. The true heirs of the Shimon Famiglia will start off as Civilians, and through rp will become Mafioso..If you take a true heir you can do a small inventory composing of only a weak flame ability.

» The Shimon are utterly loyal to the Vongola family. Like the Varia, they have tried to remain neutral because of their loyalties to the Vongola. Like most families, however, the Shimon are utterly loyal to their leader before the Vongola.

» The Shimon bloodline stays within the family usually and they like to keep their flame users to themselves. Their guardians contain the bloodline and flames needed to pass on to the next generation. Flames of the Earth are not near wide-spread as Flames of the Sky and there may be one or two users in the entire known world depending on how many children the previous generations had.

» Stand-in guardians will be NPC unless somebody takes interest in playing a fake-Guardian
