It lasted so long, that it wasn't even a yakuza group at all. It began in the 1500's and can be considered the Vongola of Japan. It started out with a group of 10 or so people that strove to become the protectors of Japan. Then, during the 1600's, the yakuza began to form. This group vowed to rid Japan of the yakuza, but then disaster struck. The group split into two, one side following the original intentions of the group and the other becoming a part of the yakuza. After a century of bloody infighting later, the former overcame the latter and went on to boom and become a nationwide crime-fighting organization. Then, in the 1900's, everything began to go downhill. Members became corrupt, others died or retired. There was no incentive to join so there were very few people who joined at all. And, by the time the Vongola appeared, the group was practically extinct. Now, less than 50 people are a part of this group and Vico Jaewon Kim is left to take charge of the newly named Blue Phoenix group. [/style]

The Blue Phoenix is now a dead group, save for a couple dozen loyal followers and their new boss. It's now up to Vico to rekindle the group into something even better than it was all those years ago.

Recently, a retired member of the group has gotten in contact with Vico, offering to be the group's benefactor of sorts. The said benefactor has connections in high places, as well as a high-ranking position in the police. The group would be independent from the police, but they can accept jobs from the police and the benefactor. In turn, the benefactor will provide the group with essentials like an HQ, equipment, etc. However, Vico must gather up at least 3 people as a requirement.

The Blue Phoenix isn't mafia nor is it yakuza. As of now, it's a small group that no one knows exists. It's main goal as of now is to regain its former fame. There are no alliances at the moment.
