Because his parents are not firm believers in marriage, Shou was given his mother's surname instead of his father's. Because of this, Shou often gets strange glances from those who are aware of this. Shou was raised to do whatever feels natural to him, his mother often letting him pick out his own clothes at a young age and both of his parents being supportive in his decisions. Because his parents are so accepting and tolerant, this has given Shou the chance to kindly ask if he could try the clothes of his opposite gender and thus led to his crossdressing habit outside of school.Even though his parents are so accepting, Shou still tries to keep his crossdressing a secret from everyone else outside his family. Ever since Shou was born, his parents have been very confident in their child's ability. As a result. Shou was introduced to school a year earlier than most kids and resulting in being the youngest in a majority of his classes. It has also caused him to go to his first year of High School as a fourteen year old student, being quite a rare sight indeed. He is often mistaken for a Elementary Schooler because of this.
