He'd been there once or twice before in the past, but never to see Alma. He frequented the bar when Alma wasn't around. Usually because well...they didn't along. Both were too proud to admit they were wrong, which was something in common that they shared. However, years after their initial break-off...Arashi was finally sick of not having a Sun guardian - considering Alma still had the damn ring and he hadn't really thought to go find a new one - especially since he had one...albeit one who had left the Varia...
Apologizing to anybody wasn't usually something Arashi did. It just wasn't. Apologizes were a sign of weakness and the knowledge that you were the one in the wrong...One should only apologize if you knew you were wrong. Arashi wasn't wrong, he knew he wasn't. He had been challenged for his leadership - and while at the time maybe Alma had been right to question his intentions as leader...now, it was clear that Arashi was a good leader to the Varia. He had declared a Ring battle between the Vongolas in hopes of the two halves of the single Vongola to merge again. As the Varia captain, he was tied to both sides. Arashi didn't want to be tied down to something so...weak. Maybe it was Xanxus' blood in his veins...but the Vongola while it was severed was weak. They didn't deserve the loyalty of an organization that was all about knowledge and power when they knew that staying separate was moronic and they were powerless to prevent how open they were to protect themselves.
Arashi sighed as he took a seat on a bar stool towards the end of the bar table in a position where he could keep an eye on the other people in the bar. When the bartender on call asked Arashi what he wanted to drink he requested a small glass of tequila - considering he had to drive back to headquarters still when he was finished and then asked for Alma as he took a small drink of the beverage the bartender had brought him a few moments later. Though the present was different.... Seemingly out of nowhere business literally boomed to the point where Alma could hire employees instead of begging people to help. Heck, he even managed to buy out the business next door to expand the bar; a feat that even managed to surprise Alma himself. A tequila bar in Japan... The very idea seemed like the worst joke to anyone the former Varia pitched the idea to, but who was laughing now? The theme had come from during his time famgilia hoping; having spent a few years in Spain where Alma was introduced to the beautiful language of Spanish, and the beverage; Tequila.
Granted though, Alma probably went a bit too far in his little idea of a tequila bar as every single drink had tequila in it; in some cases this was brilliant, and in other its was godawful. Currently the success, ad past of his bar was the last thing on Alma's mind as the tanned man sat improperly at an old wooden table with his chest leaning forward against the back of the chair. In his hand, being carefully observed was a semi-transparent bullet; a gift from an old Bovino informant. Okay so maybe gift was the wrong word to use. In all honesty Alma was being used as a guinea pig to test out a new form of ammunition created by the Bovino Famiglia that was supposed to be aimed towards Sun Flame users. Apparently it was something that no weapon manufacturer had ever thought of before, and it'd be a lie to say that Alma's curiosity hadn't be piqued. Footsteps pierced through his thoughts as the current bartender at call alerted him that someone outside had called for his presence.
A brief sigh parted his lips as the man rose, buttoning his silken white dress shirt while tucking the Varia ring around his neck under said shirt, and tossing his furred ivory cap on his head before making his way to the bar. "Ciaoo~oossu..." Originally his voice was loud, and way more cheerful than what it should have been though it quickly went flat as his bright eyes caught sight of Arashi. Golden eyes latched on to the other man with a glow of disgust, sluggishly making his way down the bar; a hand gliding across the table top to grasp both a shot glass, and bottle. "So what do you want...?." Alma slummed against the counter as he poured himself a shot, and slammed it back without a second though. His eyes remained on the shot glass as he began pouring another though much slower this time.

It was stuff like this that he felt like he was surrounded by idiots sometimes. It was also times like this that made him think he'd wind up having a heart attack or something. It was so nerve wracking sometimes that he wasn't sure if he was imagining the pain in his chest or if it was really there. Either case could be a possibility but the later was probably the correct assumption to have. He may stress over everything that involved his brother but certainly hadn't stressed enough to have a heart attack yet. Maybe a few ulcers but the former was not likely.
It wasn't really like he really thought so hard on his health in most of these cases. He was a hitman and he faced death on a daily basis so why should he think about an illness stopping him. He was the one that overloaded people's senses and made them freak out. He was supposed to be the illness that stopped other people so nothing was going to stop him. He was sure he'd be fine once he found the two and calmed down a bit.
The look on his face had probably scared the living daylights out of the guys back at the Varia headquarters. He's not normally flustered after all and since it was in front of someone he didn't know it was more a look of anger than that of fluster. He had raced off so fast that he didn't have much time to even reconsider the fact that he had made such a face in front of someone he had no connection to. It had scared him. What he had been told when he stopped by to visit Arashi for old times sake. It had been a while since he had last seen him after all.
The fact that the Varia Captain was out wasn't what surprised him or caused such a reaction from grandson of Reborn. No, it was the next bit of information that he had received about what he was out doing that had caused the reaction. It was also the reason why he had rushed off so fast and even now was speeding down the street. It wasn't every day that Arashi went to go see his twin brother Alma and that in his book was never a good sign at all. Was he tired of waiting for Alma to be persuaded to give the sun ring back? Why hadn't he tried to talk to him first about confronting Alma?
Ugh. Maybe he really should worry about his health more often especially if things continued on this way. Something definitely felt heavy in his chest but he ignored it as he sped his way to Alma's bar. He felt a tiny bit of relief when he noticed that the bar was still standing but that didn't mean anything if it was involving Alma and Arashi. They could have just went somewhere else to deal with things that way it wouldn't be disruptive or destructive to his bar. He shook his head for a second and came to a squealing halt on his motorcycle before ripping off the helmet that had been on his head. He didn't much care where it landing if on his seat or on the ground beside it he had other things to worry about.
Remo tore his way through the door to the bar and ran inside not caring for if he looked like a mad man or disrupted the bar goings. He once again had better things to worry about and his gray eyes searched over the patrons to see if he could see the two he was looking for there. He could only hope that his luck would continue to work for him as he looked for the two familiar faces. The look on his face clearly stated just how flustered he was at the moment but it quickly subsided or as fast as he could manage when he spotted that the two of the were still in the bar.
He sighed in relief and patted his chest for a second or two. He was starting to feel a bit better and he certainly didn't want the fact that he was worried to registered among the two. He walked over to the two as casually as he could and not signal any distress that he may still have and sat at the stool next to Arashi. He assessed the situation as he waved off the bartender who had eyed him for a second and with one look the bartender walked away from that end of the bar. The bad blood between the two was still pretty fresh and obvious with the way that the two were behaving. Alma avoided eye contact with Arashi and well Arashi was drinking Tequila.
"Alma, it's not polite to talk to company without looking them in the eye." Remo said commenting on his brother's manners but not really meaning anything by it. "Chaos..." He continued as a late greeting to the two of them as he slipped the coat he had been wearing off of his shoulders and onto the seat to the left of him.

Just like Alma to do something like that. Honestly, though, he couldn't blame him for wanting to drink some alcohol before dealing with him...he was doing just the same thing. As much as Arashi hated to admit it - he and Alma shared similar personality traits such as their pride. It was a flaw that grandchildren of powerful figures in the mafia world seemed to bring about.
Arashi took a second shot from the bottle of tequila before putting it aside. As much as he would like to drink himself into being fuzzy-minded and to have a hangover the next morning, he had never really done so. He drank just as his grandfather had - but not all the time. He drank when he felt like it. Or when he needed to get through something such as this. He wasn't an alcoholic like Xanxus he was more of a coffee addict, using the caffeinated beverage to pull all nighters. The bitter taste didn't suit him - so he added honey to it.
He was about to open his mouth to say something after putting down the shot glass when Remo practically burst into the bar, looking flustered. He chuckled slightly, figuring that Remo had heard he was about looking for Alma and was flipping his lid. How like the older brother...he was the responsible one...he probably would have made a better Sun guardian than Alma...but Alma was specifically chosen for the spot - no matter how much bad luck he had. Even though Alma didn't act as his Sun guardian at the moment, he was still the one that had been chosen for the position. It was what his grandfather would have wanted at least - and you never said no to Xanxus if you valued your life. While his grandfather and Squalo would have preferred Rin be his Vice over who he had now - that was out of his hands.
"Good evening, Remo. I see you're...well? I'm not here to murder Alma - at least not at this particular moment in time." Arashi commented in Italian as Remo gave his common greeting and then took a seat at the bar next to him. Arashi reached over the counter to grab another shot glass for Remo and poured him a glass from the bottle of tequila before turning his attention back to Alma, his eyes narrowed slightly in thought as his fingers tapped against the counter slightly. He wasn't going to back out now...Letting out a sigh, he glanced away from Alma also not making eye contact with the other and instead glancing around the bar for anybody who might be eavesdropping. Nobody besides the two in current company could hear this. Anybody else...well they'd have to die.
Arashi continued to speak in Italian, to lessen the likely hood of anybody overhearing. "I...uhmn..." Gah! Why did he feel like some little awkward teenage girl trying to confess to some equally awkward teenage boy...or some awkward tsundere. He was not a tsundere. He let out a puff of air in annoyance, this time meeting Alma's gaze fully. "I want to apologize for my behavior. To continue a vendetta against you is unbecoming of the Varia Captain. You had every right to question my abilities as leader at the time." He hated the idea of apologizing to anyone - apologies were a sign of weakness...however, some apologizes were required and this was one of those required apologies.
Arashi rolled his shoulders in a shrug as he broke eye-contact with Alma and sighed. "This would be the point where - if I had the Varia Sun Ring, I'd probably give it back - but since I never got it back in the first place...I won't be needing it back. I have a Sun guardian - and that won't be changing," he wanted to say something about telling them that if they told anybody he apologized he would kill them, but figured they - Remo - would get the message especially knowing Arashi's stand on apologies. Alma...maybe not, he wasn't all that bright sometimes, after all. [/style] |

Staring intently at said glass was the only thing he could do to keep himself from throwing Arashi outta his bar. The sheer bumbling appearance of his twin momentarily lightened the mood as Alma watched him burst into the bar like a mad man. In his haste it looked as if Remo had mere seconds to get everyone out of the establishment before some sort of bomb would go off. A smile faintly graced his lips watching his twin make his way over though god knew that smile would once more fade if Remo began lecturing him again.
The only achknownlement to his twin was an eye roll at Remo's comment; his brother always seemed to take Arashi's side rather than that of his own flesh and blood. Whatever happened to blood being thicker than water? His attention was suddenly thrown back to the Varia Leader as he began mumbling something then began to speak in italian. "Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh?!..." Being quite possibly as loud as he could (the normal for Alma) ensuring the patrons of his bar would turn their attention to the trio. The man before him had swapped between languages on purpose, .Never the less it did peak Alma's curiosity as to why the Varia Leader would suddenly come to his bar, and apologize. Had Rin rammed it into his brain that it simply was something that needed to be done, or was there something much more to it than this. At any rate if he wanted to apologize then Alma wasn't gonna allow him to do it in this sneaky pete, do it in a different language way.
At mention of the ring, Alma allowed himself to finger it out from the depths of his shirt as if to somehow rub it in that through all these years the ring had never once left his possession. But no simply flashing the ring would no be enough... Without a second thought, Alma climbed up on top of the bar counter, and flashed a grin before cupping his hands around his mouth, and yelling. "HEY THIS MAN HERE IS HAVING A LITTLE TROUBLE FINDING HIS WORDS! WHY DONT WE GIVE HIM SOME ENCOURAGEMENT TO SAY WHATS ON HIS MIND! ." If Arashi truely wanted to apologize then Alma was gonna make damn sure that everyone in the bar knew, or heard. Those who either knew Alma as the Bar Owner, or were too drunk to care what was going on cheered, and shouted how the bar was a safe, and friendly place for the guy (Arashi) to speak his mind. The minority who were sober gave the man standing atop the bar counter either no attention at all, or looked at him like he was one crazy son of a bitch. In his relief that nothing had happened between the two and the fact that they were still inside the bar, he missed the chuckle that Arashi let out and the smile that graced Alma's lips at his appearance. They both knew exactly how Remo was after all and the flustered look that had been on his face was not something that was usually displayed. Even within their presence it wasn't something that would normally grace his cool, down to earth appearance he always had. It would only come onto his face anymore if something like this happened again or something else completely surprised the hell out of him. In other words that wasn't something that was a normal thing for him at all and it certainly wasn't an easy feat either, to make him flustered.
Remo looked between the two of them and observed the both of them to try to see if anything particularly bad had been said. It didn't look as though they had even gotten anywhere with their conversation and the consumption of alcohol meant that Arashi wasn't there just to get the ring back. No, because that wouldn't require a lovely little chat but more force than anything. Alma probably wouldn't give the ring up without trouble and that had been the point of him talking Alma into rejoining the Varia. Besides the fact that he was technically on the run from the Vindice for breaking the contract with them. That was his reason for trying to get him to rejoin the ranks of the Varia after all he was the reason his brother was even out of the Vendicare int he first place.
He received a greeting from Arashi in Italian as he sat down and an eye roll from his brother, which he ignored. It was nice to know that Arashi wasn't there to murder his brother and almost completely skipped past the whole 'I see you're well' portion of the greeting. That made him a little nervous as to if Arashi had noticed something he didn't want him too but that fact didn't reach his face at all. The black haired male watched as Arashi reached over the counter receiving a shifty look from the bartender who remained at the other end of the bar and placed it in front of him. He poured he a shot of Tequila before turning his attention back to Alma.
Remo didn't bother with the shot even if one wouldn't mess with his level-headedness and his quick thinking he didn't want to end up wanting another. He was thinking in the aspect that he might actually need another one after that and he wasn't really feeling up to the task of being taken home. No, he wanted to be perfectly sober no matter how little the shot would effect him. He needed to be the responsible one like he always was. That was his job and responsibility even if he was the younger twin when it came to Alma.
Arashi let out a sigh not long after he returned his attention back to Remo and seemed to be having trouble finding words. The Italian made it obvious that it was something that Arashi didn't want anyone else to hear what he was saying so that meant it something pretty important. He just waited for Arashi to get on with it and actually say what he came there to say. It wasn't until he let out a puff of air in annoyance that he was able to apologize to Alma, which kind of entertained Remo a tiny bit. It kind of relieved him that that was why Arashi had showed up to see Alma and made him feel a little silly for being so worried. Their past is what had made him think that something bad would have happened.
Well, he shouldn't have been so happy about it so fast and early. He should have known that his brother would do something to ruin the apology that he had just been handed on a silver platter or in his opinion it had been. He heard his brother let out a reaction of the 'Ehh?' proportion that was neither quiet or all too loud but enough to be completely like Alma. It was terrible that he started expecting something stupid from his brother but he knew him probably better than anyone. It didn't come until after Arashi mentioned something about still having the ring otherwise he would have given it back.
If it wasn't for his brother's suspicious reaction to the apology then he'd probably be smiling and so so relieved about the entire matter. He was probably going to be able to take a bit of a rest when it came to worrying int he matter of him being caught for not working in the Varia. At the mention of the ring though his brother brought the ring out from underneath his shirt as if bragging that he still had the ring and then the reason he would have to throw back the shot of Tequila showed itself. This was why Remo was considered the responsible and the one that Arashi clearly liked better than Alma. He sighed heavily as he watched him climb onto the counter and start yelling throughout the bar to get the people that were sitting in the bar to 'encourage' Arashi to apologize.
Why? Why did Alma always have to push the limits of everything? He never helped his case no matter what he was doing and always was a pain in the ass. Remo picked up the shot glass and threw it back before slamming it onto the counter. He was making it so hard for Arashi and he was making him wish at that very moment that he didn't look exactly like him. He probably wouldn't stop Arashi if he wanted to punch Alma especially when he felt like doing just that right now. He loved his brother and all but sometimes he was just too much.
"Alma!" Remo said as he stood up and sent a glare at his twin. "Stop making things harder than they should be. No one will ever take you seriously." He continued as he ignored the patrons that were hooting and hollering.

Apologies that came at random were probably the best apologies there were - even if they did make the one who was apologizing seem weak. Given an apology freely meant admitting you had been the one in the wrong (even though the fact was, Alma had been in the wrong at the time. He was just being the 'bigger man' as it would have been put to end the vendetta.)
However, when Alma took light of the apology Arashi was offering, that was just as bad as the time he had openly challenged Arashi for leadership of the Varia and then fled when he had subsequently lost. Arashi had hoped that Alma had matured over the years, much as he had...but it seemed that he had been wrong about that. At least when Arashi had taken leadership, he had still been much a teenager and Alma had been the adult of the situation. Now it seemed that situations were reversed and now Arashi was the more adult one of the two - despite the age difference between them. The way he flaunted the ring that he had never bothered to take from his possession. Oh. There was a reason for that. If Remo didn't exist, he would have ripped the ring from his throat after strangling him or throwing him to the wolves aka, the Vendice.
Arashi's voice now had the lightest bit of venom in it and from the way he spoke it was clear he was angry, but the lack of action he had taken from Alma's...idiocy was just another statement to how much Arashi had matured over the years. When he were younger, he would have yelled some foul language towards him - much like Xanxus and taken to getting into a fight with the other man. The calmness he had taken in with his anger was probably even more frightening than what he had been before. The way he treated his brother, with a slight eye roll was angering as well. Remo gave everything up for Alma and he didn't even know it. "I allowed you to keep the ring for a couple reasons, Alma. So don't pretend like I /couldn't/ get it from you even if I tried. You're still under contract with the Varia - if the Vendice found out you were no longer with us...well...I wouldn't have any problems with letting them drag you back to Vendicare for the rest of your life; however, because of /your brother/ I /allowed/ you to keep it to keep you out of Vendicare," |
[/b] Arashi stated simply, remaining in Italian and rather easily ignoring the hooting and hollering from the drunkards. "I also didn't see the reason for going to find a replacement for you because I didn't think that our vendetta was going to last all this times,"[/b] Arashi admitted quietly as he rose to his feet off the bar stool, dropping the accurate amount of money down on the counter for his alcohol - and a tip for Alma's bartender. "You're obviously still too childish and immature to be anything like your esteemed grandfather was,"[/b] Arashi's head tilted to the side slightly as he thought about something for a second. If Alma were still this childish...then maybe he couldn't be trusted with the mission he wanted to impart? Remo was training the Notte Sawada leader for the Ring battles, so Arashi couldn't go and ask him about it. He supposed he could just keep up the surveillance on the Shimon or snoop around himself. "When you decide to grow up, you know where to find me," Arashi stated casually, looking towards Remo for a moment. "Kaya asked me to help with her training too, by the way. We can talk later about that if you want to. I think the longer I remain, I may lose my temper with him and I'd rather not risk civilians or the alcohol with it,"[/b] Arashi casually informed the the younger of the two as he made his way towards the entrance and to the vehicle he had brought with him to the bar - one of the many motorcycles that made their home in the Varia's parking garage (Kaoru wasn't the only one who enjoyed driving one.)
