Her loyalty is forever and always. Even if somebody were to betray her, she would likely give them a second chance to redeem themselves. Dogs are as loyal as they come and so is she. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Laid back Taking a chapter from Yamamoto's book, she's really laid back. She doesn't let things get to her and bad things that happen simply happen and sometimes can't be helped. Motherly Probably one of the most motherly people you will come across, she is often in competition with Cesarina for who can be the best mother - but when you lose your child and yourself...it doesn't really work so well. She does, however, enjoy the presence of children. While unable to have more of her own due to the death of her husband - she wouldn't mind having more if she finds the right person. Caring and Warm She generally does care about everybody, even those in Notte. Her general attitude made her one of the best choices for Rain Guardian for the second and the third generations of Notte because she generally did her best to keep the peace between the two. Guileless Rika rarely ever tries to deceive people and is usually highly trusting of people at first unless she learns otherwise. She'd rather give them the benefit of a doubt over complete dismissal. Mature Despite how flamboyant and flighty she can be, she's generally very mature when its needed. She's quiet and soft-spoken; however, can control a room with ease because of her maturity. [+]Strong A lot has happened in Rika's life and she tries not to let the bad things that have happened bother her too much. She tries not to show people when there's something wrong, sometimes not even her own family. ► NEGATIVE TRAITS

[/b] Rika took some of her more…negative aspects from her mother’s side of the family – including a love of all things flashy, shiny, and colorful. She’s about as easily distracted as a five-year old if she doesn’t have else to do to keep her mind from wandering. Keep her mind active and she’s as attentive as anybody else…but if something doesn’t interesting her – she’s more likely to wander off and get lost than anything.
[-] Fickle A rather fickle woman, Rika is sometimes likely to blow things off that don’t interest her unless they’re super important. Rather forgetful at times too – like the time she forgot where she was going – but then couldn’t remember how to get home. Things like that.
[-] Dense It’s a trait shared between three generations. She’s about as dense as her father and her son is about as dense as she is. Not to say they’re /stupid/ because they not. They are all quite intelligent in their own way. It’s just that…the way they are intelligent is probably not the way many would interpret as intelligence. Most things honestly just fly right over her heard.
[-] Reckless She is rather reckless to be honest. She’s the one likely to stay behind to fend off enemies while the rest of them flee. She doesn’t really have that self-preservation instinct most humans have. She doesn’t know when to quit or when to give up. She’s about as stubborn as a bull – not a mule. A bull. Bulls are more dangerous than mules.

Rika is the daughter and heiress to Yamamoto Takeshi the Rain Guardian of the Decimo/Primo Generation of Vongola. Being raised by two laid back people - her mother was rather flashy, but was rather laid back as well, was honestly...a piece of cake. Punishments weren't common even if she did something bad. They would sometimes laugh it off and tell her in some passive way not to do it again. Sometimes she did, sometimes she didn't.

Rika, prone to wandering and getting lost, was probably lost by Yamamoto and his wife more times than could be counted. He should have invested in a child leash. It was often that it was Gokudera or Tsunayoshi who would help find her. Honestly, because of this problem, she was kidnapped by several Vongola enemies of the time. She never made it easy for them though. Squalo had Yamamoto convinced that he should start her training as soon as humanly possible and Yamamoto had always taken Squalo's advice to heart, so he began to teach her the way of the sword. By the time she was fourteen, she had already mastered the style - unlike her soon who took an extra year before learning it completely.

At fifteen, she met the man who she believed was the love of her life. Her first love at that. He was Giorno Primo's Storm Guardian. She had already agreed to be Giorno Secondo's Rain Guardian and they spent a lot of time together because of their positions. When Giorno's second generation had taken over, she was already several months pregnant - although not yet marriage, this was fixed while she was pregnant though and before anybody knew she was. She wasn't willing to let her family down, so she remained as their guardian for as long as she possibly could while pregnant before eventually relenting to doctors orders and relaxing.

A few months after having her baby, she returned to her position as Rain guardian. As soon as she could, she also started training him with the sword just as her father had her. She was a good mother, despite some shortcomings concerning her habit of wandering and getting lost. It was a good thing her husband was such a responsible man...

The Giorno's enemies, which had grown over the years especially since their lack of political prowess - she was probably the best when it came to politics in all honestly but they really didn't like going politics. That was Notte's thing. They had power. When a few enemy families teamed up to try to take out the Giorno, the came close to doing so. In the resulting fight with them, when she had tried to cover the retreat of the injured, her husband - who was already injured himself, refused to go. With her inability to convince him to abandon her and go, he perished in that fight. She had been injured as well and it was during her few days in the hospital that she learned she had been two months pregnant, but the stress and several injuries had caused a miscarriage. Unwilling to let anybody mourn a second loss besides Arata, she kept that to herself. Her son was already mourning the loss of his father. There was no need for him to mourn a second.

Rika's rain flames are rather potent and it was never her intention to have them so potent. Subconsciously, these flames are emitted from her body in small doses. Prolonged exposure can cause perception of time and movement can be effected. She wears a mammon chain when not in combat to negate this effect. It can be rather obnoxious afterall.

ame no shizukesa - tranquility of the rain

Coating her entire body in an excess of rain flames, anybody who comes close is immediately attacked by the rain flames that then work to slow down the opponent - or their attacks. While this has a negative effect on herself, mostly in slowing her movements - although not as much as it does her opponent, the opponent would already be in her range so the slowed movement of both of them would simply be like they're moving at the same speed rather than being slowed. (Eventually she will combine this with sun flames, having a small amount of sun flames act as a buffer against the effect. The activation factor would cancel out the tranquility factor and keep her movements normal while opponents would still be slowed.

Shigure Kintoki - Rain Katana.
The Shigure Kintoki is a weapon that has been passed down through the Yamamoto family for several generations, it is only passed to those who have mastered the shigure soen ryu style. Rika is it's current wielder - as her son would rather hold a twin katana set over just one. Normally just a plain bamboo sword, the weapon sheds it cover when a form is used and reverts back when it is not being used.

Hana the Rain Shikoku (Japanese Wolfdog)

The Shikoku is a native breed of hound to Japan and were bred to hunt boar, deer and other animals within Japan. Hana is a female cream-colored shikoku with bright rain-flamed eyes. Its ears are coated in rain flames and it carries a pack containing three more short-blades made of rain flames. Rika knows how to use Yamamoto/Asari's four-sword style using her katana and the three weapons her dog carries.

She is a loyal and energetic creature, often prancing and getting lost with her own. If it's one thing she's really useful for outside of combat, it's leading her owner back to where she needs to be...however, there are times when she often makes her owner's situation even worse and gets them more lost than they were in the first place. Hana is very adept at 'sniffing' out her opponents, including hidden ones and illusionists like her owner's father's box Akita.

Yasei no kari - The Wild Hunt

Hana takes one of the short katana hilts in her mouth and flares rain flames to on the hilt as well as her entire body. She takes off at a dead run, steadily increasing speed and barreling into her opponents with the blade as well as the rain flames that attack the opponent as well. Enemies that she has scented before can't hide from this attack because she will 'sniff' them out.
