When he was just an infant, his father was killed, right in front of him and his mother fled and hid herself and her son away, changed their names to her maiden one, Liao, and raised her son as a normal child never telling him that he was the next heir to a mafia family as she feared he would share the same fate as his father. They had moved around several times over the last few years, currently, they are settled in Namimori where Jian has started taking classes, but despite being what he believes 'Normal' he always feels like he should be doing something, protecting, searching...finding someone.
